SMARTPREP2™ BMAC PROTOCOL

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

SMARTPREP2™ APC+PROTOCOL

Step 1

Draw 3 ml ACD-A for APC 20 in 20 ml syringe.

Draw 8 ml ACD-A for APC 60 in 60 ml syringe.


Step 2

Transfer 1 ml ACD-A from the 20 ml syringe into Plasma Chamber of Process Disposable (PD) for APC 20.

Transfer 2 ml ACD-A from the 60 ml syringe into Plasma Chamber of Process Disposable (PD) for APC 60..


Step 3

Draw venous blood using ACD-A syringe for APC 20 to the 3/4 oz mark (approx. 22 ml).

Draw 60 ml venous blood using ACD-A syringe for APC 60.


Step 4

Transfer total syringe volume into blood chamber of PD (red port).

Step 5

Load SmartPReP® with PD, close the lid, press the green start button.

NOTE: To prevent system imbalance, use correct balance weight when processing only one PD.


Step 6

After processing, use syringe with spacer and withdraw PPP (white port) until air bubbles are present.

Transfer contents to yellow cup on surgical field..


Step 7

Transfer contents to red cup on surgical field.60 ml syringe.

Transfer contents to red cup on surgical field.

Step 8

Mix APC+™ activator.

Transfer contents to clear cup on surgical field.
